people with their neighbors and with resources through a service delivery system that is shaped and operated by the poor.  MORE's key goal is to help establish within poor communities an ability to be self-sufficient which translates into minimized dependence on social programs.  By linking neighbors to each other, they help themselves, each other and build a sense community all at the same time.  Since neighbors play such a critical role in providing the services, MORE Neighborhood College is the training mechanism to orient neighborhood volunteers to the procedures and resources which allow them to serve their fellow neighbors.

The beauty of MORE is that it relies on the talents and leadership of the same individuals it exists to help - the residents of the service areas.  Neighbors develop the programs needed to address their community issues.  Neighbors keep the system running and monitor the operations of the entire system through neighborhood MORE Boards.

Linking Neighbors to Services - This dynamic system is operated by and for neighbors, who are both providers and recipients of service.  They are trained in reaching, engaging, and linking fellow neighbors to one another, to Grace Hill programs and to other agencies for resources, services and activities.

Neighborhood Centers - A listing of Grace Hill Neighborhood Centers where neighbors are linked to the MORE system and other resources.

MORE Time Dollar Exchange - The Member Organized Resource Exchange is Grace Hill Settlement House's dynamic model for resource delivery to needy neighbors in the St. Louis area. MTDE is a service barter system which helps meet the basic needs of neighbors so they can preserve scarce cash and help one another.

Direct Services - The following services are offered by Grace Hill:

Neighborhood College - Providing neighbors with the skills they need to improve their lives and neighborhoods. A variety of courses are offered to enhance neighbors skills.
