The Grace Hill Business Center is designed to train and develop small
businesses and small business start-ups within the community.

In July 1999, the
Business Center was awarded a contract from the
Small Business Administration (“SBA”) to establish the
Women’s Business Center (“WBC”).
The Grace Hill Women's
Business Center strives to help low-income and/or minority women start or
expand small businesses, provide a one-stop shop for women entrepreneurs,
build communities, and increase the number of women owned businesses.
In addition to the program/services offered
above, the WBC offers programs that focus on issues that uniquely affect
women.

Small Business
Administration (SBA) loan programs
Prequalification for SBA
loan programs:

Provides long term financing assistance for businesses needed to expand
while providing fixed –rate financing for up to 40% of the project.

Provides loans to small businesses unable to secure financing through
normal lending channels. This program operates through private-sector
lenders that provide loans, which are in turn guaranteed by the SBA.

Community Express -
Combines
the SBA’s small business lending and technical assistance with the
National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s (NCRC) community development
expertise to help entrepreneurs obtain financing in traditionally
underserved areas.

Microloan
- This program is designed to increase the availability of very small
loans (normally less than $35,000) to perspective small business
borrowers.
