St. Louis. MO., March 29, 2010…The Grace Hill Women’s Business Center hosted friends and supporters at a ceremony on March 29, 2012 to honor four women business owners and induct them into their Wall of Fame. Since 1999, the Women’s Business Center has been honoring women entrepreneurs, who have participated in the center’s programs and services, for their success in business.

The 2012 Wall of Fame Awardees are Robin Boyce of The Hastings Group, Jennifer Cobb of Jennifer’s Fashions, Sharonda Ellis of Events Above the Rest, and Dr. Jeannette Taylor of Christian School of Destiny Learning Institute.  This group of successful entrepreneurs joins a prestigious group of fifty-five other women also honored throughout the years.  Lewis Reed, President of the City of St. Louis Board of Aldermen, congratulated this year’s honorees by saying, “thank you for being a beacon of light for young ladies like my daughters and others across the city and region that look at you and say, yes I can do it too.”

Dennis Melton, District Director of the St. Louis District Office for the US Small Business Administration, spoke about the importance of forming communities with other entrepreneurial minded professionals, “those that help often become friends and allies.”

Marcia Conaghan, Program Manager for the Women’s Business Center expands on this by saying, “The Grace Hill Women’s Business Center provides opportunities to grow in business knowledge and in the business community by offering training, business counseling, workshops and assistance in finding funding sources and loan applications.”

Lecia Rives, Founder and Owner Speak uP! Enterprise, was the keynote speaker at the 13th annual event held at Friends – A Meeting Place.  Each honoree was presented with a Wall of Fame award, will have their photo hung in the Women’s Business Center and received a City of St. Louis Mayoral Proclamation.
