Grace Hill's Whitaker Urban Evening Series

Grace Hill's Whitaker Urban Evening Series draws the community together through cultural expression. Every Thursday night, friends and family gather to hear artists such as Groovethang and Erin Bode fill St. Louis Place Park with their toe-tapping talents. Kids enjoy entertainment such as face painters and balloon sculptors while creating their own special pieces of art at the Imagination Station.

This event is more than entertainment; it’s about connecting our community. This year the series drew more than 3,000 attendees from 70 different zip codes across the area introducing the entire region to the growth and revival of North St. Louis.

The series ended for 2009 on July 23, but plans to be back next summer

at St. Louis Place Park, on the corner of St. Louis Avenue and Rauschenbach.
