AmeriCorps Trail Ranger Project

Our project was recently nominated for a Service Impact Award through the Corporation for National and Community Service seeks.  The award recipients exemplify the best in national and community service in the key issue areas of the Serve America Act and disaster services.

The AmeriCorps Trail Ranger Project connects neighborhoods to the Mississippi River through habitat restoration, recreation and cultural education. The 15 Rangers, young adults from the community, are responsible for supporting the St. Louis Riverfront Trail.

Through the program’s many partners, the Rangers strengthen North City riverside communities, reinforce community responsibility and gain opportunities to enter non-traditional career paths in botany and environment preservation.
