MAPLE HEIGHTS

The Grace Hill, Maplewood Heights Neighborhood Center, at the corner of Sutton and Maple, has been serving the the Maplewood and Richmond Heights communities in St. Louis since 1979.   The center is operated by one Grace Hill staff person and a multitude of volunteer neighbors who work together in organizing its' resource for the community.  Volunteers complete all types of jobs such as, computer work, organize and run the M.O.R.E Time Dollar Store, answer phones, assist in completing paperwork, clean, stock shelves, recruit, etc...  Many of the center's volunteers became familiar with the Maple Heights center through referrals of other neighbors.

 

The Maple Heights Center offers:

• Assistance to neighbors in times of crisis

• Neighborhood College training courses

• M.O.R.E. (Member Organized Resource Exchange) linkage network

• Support and promotion of the empowerment of neighbors to use their own abilities and talents to help themselves and others in the community

• Food Pantry
