RESOURCES

Post Dispatch 100 Neediest: Grace Hill is an active member of the St. Louis community and collaborates with many agencies in the region. One of its major collaborations is with:

St. Louis Post-Dispatch/United Way’s 100 Neediest Cases Program. In 2002 over $300,000 was distributed to over 2,000 neighbors.

Weatherization: However, Grace Hill’s direct services do not stop with United Way. The neighbors as leaders collaborate with volunteers to provide an invaluable resource through its Weatherization program. In 2002, the homes of 34 seniors, 9 single parents and 14 disabled neighbors, for a total of 57 homes were weatherized for the winter.

VITA:   Starting in 2002, Grace Hill became a VITA site to provide free tax filing services for low-income neighbors.  A Grace Hill Board Member and 2 neighbors were trained to process the claims.  In its first year, 187 households had their taxes electronically filed through this service with total returns of almost $350,000.
